Thank you Calvary Baptist Academy for your expression of love made to the Pregnancy Resource Center this Valentine's Day!

Year after year, the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders give items to the PRC instead of exchanging Valentines - Thank you so much students!!!

Also, Thank you to the youth of Christ Lutheran Church for their donation of baby items, diapers, and a car seat to the parenting education program.  These items are going along way in building our new HOPE Chests - a baby shower in a basket.

Thank you to the volunteers of Second Presbyterian Church for their help painting a room and reorganizing our boutique on January 23, 2010.

Thank you to the Senior High Girls Bible Study Group from First Church of the Nazarene for spending their Saturday morning at the PRC.  The group scrubbed floors, washed windows, cleaned bathrooms, vacuumed carpets, polished furniture, straightened clothes and removed wallpaper all while playing a fun game of "truth or dare" to keep things interesting.  Thanks ladies.

Thank you to the teen girls of Vale Community Church for making no-sew blankets for the PRC this Christmas.  Thank you so much!

If your small group would be interested in a Saturday morning work project at the PRC, contact us at bloomington@hopeforafuture.com

The Bloomington-Normal Pregnancy Resource Center would like to thanks Martin’s Furniture for their donation of beautiful new chairs for the counseling rooms and waiting room of our new, soon to open, Medical Clinic.  We would also like to thank Keen Tile for donating the ceramic tile for our new medical clinic and L&P Tile for installing the tile.  We would also like to thank the work crews from Heartland Community Church, East White Oak Bible Church, Calvary Baptist Church & First Church of the Nazarene, along with the PRC volunteers for providing labor for our vast improvements here at the PRC.  A big thank you also goes out to Zeller Electric for installing all of our electrical work in our new counseling room.

PROJECT ULTRASOUND UPDATE:

The Pregnancy Resource Center Medical Clinic opened its doors in June of 2008.  The women who come to the PRC are now given the opportunity to speak with a nurse, as well as confirm their pregnancy with the use of pregnancy testing and ultrasound.  This gives each woman the chance to both hear and see the truth about the life growing within her.

The number of women considering abortion and then changing their plan to one that gives their baby life and the mother hope has gone from 23% to now 83% since the medical clinic open.

Would you like to join our medical team?

We are in need of more nurses to run pregnancy tests.  We are also looking for nurses interested in completing the needed training to perform limited obstetrical ultrasound scans.  For more information, contact us at bloomington@hopeforafuture.com
