Helping Others Parent through Education

In our H.O.P.E. mentoring program, clients attend classes on various parenting related topics and earn "Mommy Money" or "Baby Bucks" to shop in our stores. Our classes are on everything from breastfeeding, the dangers of smoking, car seat safety and more. Clients are able to shop with integrity because they earn the money through their own efforts. We stock various baby furniture, equipment, diapering supplies, formula and both clothing for both mother & baby.

When I started participating in the Pregnancy Resource Center, the first video I watched was a baby smoking a cigarette in the womb. When I walked out of the center I immediately stopped smoking. I smoked for 12 years; quitting is one of my biggest accomplishments in life.

The Resource center has helped me with diapers, baby wash, shampoo, shoes, coats, baby crib, stroller and misc. (Everything I needed that I didn’t have to start my new life with my son.)

I thank God everyday that I have somewhere to go when I need help. I encourage young mothers to participate in this program, not only for assistance, but to learn more about what God is capable of. I have learned with out faith none of this could be possible.

I don’t know what I would have done without the Pregnancy Resource Center. When I came to them, I had nothing for my baby and being a first time mother, my knowledge in child-rearing was limited. Through their Earn While You Learn program, I have not only acquired all the items I need for the baby, but I have become a much more confident and knowledgeable mother.
