Meet Our Team
The overall team of Living Alternatives Pregnancy Resource Center is comprised of both paid staff and volunteers. Living Alternatives currently has 44 paid staff to provide leadership and oversight over our many volunteer teams. Each team member plays a vital role and meets an important need. Working together, we strive to meet the Mission of Living Alternatives Pregnancy Resource Center.
Sherry Sherwood, Chief Executive Officer
Having worked in the organization since 2004, Sherry has been the Director of the Bloomington/Normal Center, Vice President of Client Services, and the CEO since 2009. The mother of three, Sherry currently worships at Pekin First Nazarene with her husband Scott.

Carolyn Rasch, Chief Financial Officer
Since 1988, Carolyn has served as a volunteer, Assistant Director and Director of the Champaign PRC, and as the CFO since 2010. Carolyn has been a member of the St. Joseph, IL community for over 20 years and worships with her husband of 36 years, Don, at Living Word Family Church where they have attended for 30 years. She is the proud mother of 4 and grandmother of 8.

Nate Himes, Chief Operating Officer & Director of Merci's Refuge
Nate began as an intern in the Champaign PRC in 2008, mentoring men and couples along with his fiance at the time, Ashley. Nate later joined the Board of Directors and was hired as an Executive Director in 2011 after graduating with a Master's in Social Work from the Univ. of Illinois. Nate, Ashley and their two sons, worship at the Salvation Army Church in Champaign.

Terri Lipscomb, Director of Development Officer
Terri Lipscomb has been a supporter of women and families for many years. She and her late husband helped to start and fund a Pregnancy Resource Center in Cleveland, Ohio in 1987. They adopted a son, Damon, 29 years ago through a Pregnancy Resource Center in Parma, Ohio. She now has a 5-year-old redhead granddaughter named Cali. In 2008 she began volunteering with the Champaign Pregnancy Resource Center to assist them in raising the necessary funds for their ultrasound program. Since then she has used her training and experience in organizing banquets and events to support the Pregnancy Resource Center in the 12 communities that they serve. In January of 2011 she accepted the position of Chief Development Officer and led the Captial Campaign to build Merci's Refuge. She is having fun and feels privileged that she gets to serve!

Kimberly Chapple, RN, Director of Nursing and Client Services
Kim has been the Nurse Manager for the Champaign PRC since 2010 and has served as the Director of Nursing for Living Alternatives since January 2013. She was raised in Champaign and has made this community her adult home with her husband and 4 children. They are actively involved at their church, the Vineyard.

Dr. Peter Vienne, DO, Medical Director
Dr. Vienne has provided medical oversight of our medical services and staff since 2008. He completed his OB/GYN residency at Chicago Osteopathic Hospital as Chief Resident. Dr. Vienne, his wife, 5 children and 4 grandchildren have established a private practice in Morris Illinois serving the community for almost 20 years. He provides his patients a Christian office driven by compassionate nurses and a professional staff. His mission has been to impact patients' physical, emotional and spiritual health. Dr. Vienne is a nationally acclaimed certified COEMIG (Center Of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology) surgeon who has expanded his repertoire with Davinci Robotic Gynecologic surgery. He offers his patients state of the art technology at the new Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois.

Greta Henry, Director of Adoptions and Champaign Ministries
Greta began volunteering with Living Alternatives in 1989 as a member of their prayer team. Over the years, Greta has become more involved, first as a mentor and eventually a staff member. In 1995, Greta became the director of the Champaign PRC and in 2006 added Director of Adoptions to her role. Greta is a member of Living Word Family Church in St. Joseph, IL.
