Sally's Seminar/Light Rock 97.5 Diaper Drive Thru - Big Thanks to Tim Donaldson & his staff at CU Blindman, Sally Morse with Hunter Douglas and Larry Fredrickson with WDWS/Light Rock 97.5. We had more than 5160 diapers (over 120 packages) donated to the PRC! It was so wonderful! We had a blast at the seminar too! At least one person took advantage of Sally's offer of a "free consulation for every $250 donation to the PRC". With that donation, CU Blindman presented us with a check for over $1,750! WOW!!

Biking For Babies - Thank you Mike & Jimmy for taking your Spring Break to ride 600 miles in 6 days to raise money for babies! They presented the PRC with a check for $6,938.16! Only 1/2 of what was raised as they split the money between us and Students for Life!! The money donated will go toward our adoption program. Great rewards are stored up for the wonderful young men! Thank you John-Paul, President of Students for Life, for suggesting us as a "worthy mission"!

Change for LIFE
Would you be willing to participate in the Pregnancy Resource Center's “CHANGE FOR LIFE” baby bottle fundraiser? It's simple.
Collect your spare change, filling a baby bottle provided by the PRC with coins. When your bottle(s) are full, simply drop them off at the PRC.
Here are some creative ways to fill your baby bottles with change:
1. Keep a baby bottle on your dresser to place coins in as you empty your pockets at the end of the day;
2. Keep a baby bottle in your car to place your change in after going through the drive through or coming out of the store;
3. Keep a baby bottle on your desk at work and encourage your co-workers to join in the fun!
To pick up your baby bottle (or enough bottles for your family, small group, or Church family), call 217-398-6511 or contact us at champaign@hopeforafuture.com
Baby Bottle Drive - 18 churches have participated so far in raising over $15,000! Just think what we could do if every church participated!! Some churches chose to do a "Mother's Day/Father's Day Drive. If your church would still like to get involved by promoting a baby bottle drive let us know and we will get you set up with supplies!

1st quarter stats - We had 19 clients receive Christ in our first quarter with 9 in March alone!! For an aggregate total of 818! We had 2 more babies lives saved, 151 aggregate and that is before we even began doing ultrasounds!
Medical Conversion - We completed our medical conversion April 1st and now provide limited ultrasounds for our clients. We are excited to have Dr. Robert Coleman as our medical director and Dr. Nancy Goodwine-Wozniak reading our ultrasounds. Can't wait to see the results of what ultrasound brings to our clients decision making process!
Let the Classes begin!! - Dale, our volunteer coordinator, has been hard at work putting together volunteers to mentor in a classroom setting. She has successfully begun 3 classes. Tuesday morning - clients who have had their babies, Tuesday & Thursday afternoon for pregnant clients!
F.I.S.H. Program gets a face lift - Our Admin team has been working hard to give our Earn While You Learn Program, "F.I.S.H. Program", a face lift. They have come up with a fresh name, "H.O.P.E. Program" (Helping Others Parent through Education) and fresh new curricullum (Pregnancy for Dummies, Laugh & Learn and more). With this new change in order, Dale has also been working on recruiting more volunteers for the classroom setting, one on one mentoring and those to do pregnancy test peer counseling. If you would like to become a "T.E.A.M. Member" (trained to Teach, Equip And Mentor) for the "H.O.P.E. Program" or become a volunteer in any capacity, contact Dale Coleman, Tues or Thurs from 10 - 3. We need you and clients are waiting for you!!

Is the high cost of phone book ads worth the price?
Recently we spoke to a couple of clients who had come to us considering abortion, both of which changed their minds. One client chose to parent her baby. Since then she and her boyfriend have married and are very happy with their choice for life. The other client chose an adoption plan for her baby and is also very happy she chose life for her little one, as well as giving his parents the opportunity to raise him in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
When we asked both of these clients to remind us how they found out about us, they both said through the phone book! It is amazing how many people look us up in the yellow pages. We often find it frustrating to pay the always rising cost of phone book ads, but then we look at both of these little ones and say a resounding YES! We will continue to advertise in the phone book. The cost for us to advertise monthly in the area phone books is a little over $1,000 a month! That is $250 a week or $35 a day! That seems high, we know, but what is a life worth?
If you would like to help sponsor a phone book ad, we would welcome that! Please contact us at 217-398-6511, or write us at Living Alternatives, PO Box 1542, Champaign, IL 61824-1542.
