This year we're celebrating the Gift of Life through our annual fundraiser. We are in need of willing walkers to help make this a successful walk! To sign up click on the link to the left or call the center today!

“Life is a Gift” Photo Contest

Do you have a family member or family friend

between the ages of birth & age 5?

If so, we invite you to enter their photo in our second annual

“Walk for Life” photo contest!

HOW DO YOU ENTER?

Mail or drop off a copy of their photo, along with a $10 entry fee, to the Pregnancy Resource Center (53 S. Central Park Plaza ~ PO Box 918 ~ Jacksonville, IL 62651). Be sure to include:The child’s name and age, along with your name, address, phone number and email address. Photos will be returned to you after the Walk.

*Photo must be received by the PRC no later than Thursday, May 14^th

*The child must be no older than 5 years of age as of the date of the Walk.

How do you vote?

Ask all your friends and family to come out to the Walk for Life at Community Park in Jacksonville on Saturday, May 16^th between 9am and 10:00am and place their “votes” for their favorite photo. Voting tickets are 25¢ each—with no limit to the number of “votes” each person may purchase!

What’s the prize?

All entries will receive a “Life is Priceless” certificate, and will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a $25 Gift Card from Toys-R-Us!

Plus— The photo with the most votes will receive a certificate good for a free sitting fee and photo session for up to 4 people at Cheryl Kelly Photography in Jacksonville. They’ll ALSO receive, at no charge, a proof booklet of all their proofs from their sitting and a gorgeous “CK Clip”!

Yes, it’s true! Our Center is now located at 53 S. Central Park Plaza in a building within walking distance of local colleges, and is nicer, larger and much better suited for helping us reach our target client!

We are VERY excited about our new location and want to thank you for all your prayers and support. The “work” doesn’t stop now though…in fact, this is only the beginning of a new journey in our center’s history!

Caring Mentors Help New Mothers Learn To Care For Their Infants in our "Earn While You Learn Program"

We are always looking for women who have a heart for young mothers and their babies. Especially now as some of our volunteer mommy mentors have either moved away, had a new baby or have taken on new challenges at church.

What does a mommy mentor do?

Mommy mentors meet one on one with an expectant mother (at the center) for about an hour or so a week. The mommy mentor offers encouragement and education through videos, oral lessons, and homework assignments on topics relevant to the expectant mothers stage of pregnancy, specific areas such as learning to bond early with their infant, how to reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome, pre-natal care, nutrition, practical issues such as money management, budgeting and much more. The client then earns mommy money that can be used in our resource room to purchase brand new baby clothes and baby furniture.

Central Park Plaza in downtown Jacksonville, on the southwest side of the square, in front of the coffee shop. We will be glad to work with your current schedule. Mommy mentors are needed mornings, afternoons, and early evenings Monday through Friday.

The Pregnancy Resource Center ministry requires a team of believers praying daily for the staff, volunteers, and clients. If you would be willing to pray for the PRC, please let us know.
