The Pregnancy Resource Center held their First Annual Charity Golf Tournament August 25th at Pine View Golf Club in spite of two days of pouring rain. The weather cleared up in time for the afternoon event, which was sponsored by Hendrickson Chrysler – Plymouth – Dodge of Monticello; Gutwein Motor Co. of Monon; and Dick Krieg GMC of Delphi.
Other platinum sponsors included: Our Lady Of The Lakes Catholic Church, Knights Of Columbus, Faith Covenant Fellowship, Mickey B’s Sporting Goods, and the Lehmann family, all from Monticello; as well as Useful Products, Inc., in Goodland.
Gold sponsors were Roth Jewelers, Murray Heating & Air Conditioning, Zion Bethel Church, Allen Medical, and Lake Shafer Christian Center, all of Monticello, and the Duwell family of Balwin, Missouri.
The winners of the tournament included the team of Greg Shidler and Dan Stearns, and the team of Fred Shidler and Paul Lerma. The team of Joe Milligan and Mickey Belt, Jr. finished in third place.
The Center would like to thank all of the volunteers, who worked so hard to organize and stage this event. We are very grateful to all of our sponsors, as well as all the golfers who came out to support this event. Also a special thanks goes to Faith Covenant Fellowship, for helping in all kinds of ways behind the scenes. Without the support of the community, we would not be able to continue to meet the needs of our clients.
The services of the Pregnancy Resource Center are available FREE to all women of White County. The services we provide include confidential pregnancy testing, assistance with maternity and baby clothing and other material needs, parenting classes, as well as adoption planning and assistance.
