We offer a variety of services, including pregnancy tests, caring support, prenatal health education, parenting education, adoption information, post abortion help, practical assistance and more.

Pregnancy Tests

The PRC offers free and confidential pregnancy tests to young women at the point of decision.  When a woman learns that she is pregnant, she is faced with a decision.  She can choose between parenting her child, creating an adoption plan for her child, or terminating the pregnancy.  The PRC has vital information that she can use in making her decision.  The PRC does not perform, refer or participate in the facilitation of abortions. 

Ultrasound Services

Living Alternatives is now offering limited ultrasound services at the Bloomington-Normal PRC and the Champaign PRC, and will soon be offering the same services in Jacksonville and Will County.  Ultrasound offers us the opportunity to verify if the patient has a viable intrauterine pregnancy and is one more tool to help the mother in an unplanned pregnancy explore her options.  We hope to take several locations through this medical conversion, increasing the number of women choosing life for their pre-born babies.

Adoption Plans

When young women choose to place their babies for adoption, we come along side them and walk through their adoption plans with them. We assist with prenatal health, Bible studies, lawyer visits, peer counseling and practical resources. Please see our Adoption page for more information.

Parenting Education

Many young women choose to parent their baby and we want to make sure they are equipped with the necessary skills. We currently have hundreds of young mothers enrolled in our H.O.P.E. mentoring program. In the program our clients learn about everything from smoking cessation to breastfeeding and discipline. Our clients earn Baby Bucks for attending class that can be spent in our shop where they can purchase many items such as diapers, formula, cribs, strollers, baby clothing and much more.

Clothing Room

Parents can visit our clothing room where they can receive maternity and baby clothing. Diapers are also available on an emergency case basis.

Post-Abortion Recovery

Post-abortion services are available to anyone who is suffering from the confusion, emptiness and heartache which so often follow the decision to have an abortion. 

Abstinence Education

Education is available for through videos and brochures to help an individual make a strong decision to choose purity in relationships.
